Code of Conduct
All volunteers must agree to the Council's code of conduct, which includes professional behaviour, confidentiality of sensitive data, truthful documentation, and non-political engagement.
Volunteering FAQ
Do I need prior experience to volunteer?
No. The volunteer programme is structured, and new volunteers are guided by the Council team. Applications are reviewed and volunteers are matched to categories that fit their skills and interests.
Is there a fixed time commitment?
No fixed time commitment is required. You state your availability when you register, and activities are planned around it.
Is volunteering paid?
No. Volunteering with JK Tourism Council is unpaid, public-interest work. It offers structured experience in tourism research, documentation, and civic engagement.
How are applications handled?
Every application is reviewed by the Council team. Approved volunteers agree to the Council's code of conduct, which requires professional, truthful, and non-political engagement.
